I have been using Evitex all winter. I have seen such a huge improvement in my 22-year-old Arabian gelding.
Last spring he suffered a terrible blow with insulin resistance, which caused him to founder on all four feet. Then in the fall he was officially diagnosed with Cushing’s as well. On top of that, he suffers from Lyme’s Disease. We have owned him for about five years. He’s one of those horses that you cannot imagine losing. He’s worth his weight in gold. We are an avid show family and he’s taught my two sons so much. I had to bring him through a pretty expensive protocol of other nutritional supplements, and they all played their part. Cushing’s is a real bugger. My vet told me to put him on Pergolide, and I actually relented and did it. Memo lost his appetite, and literally quit eating.
He’s an odd Cushing’s case, as instead of being fat and cresty necked, he’s on he thin side. So, that was not an option. Against their suggestions, which I understood the risks when I did this, I took him of the drug very slowly and switched to Evitex. Absolutely amazing! He is the happiest, whole horse and is so much different than even when we first bought him. We use Biofeedback to test him and this last test is the first time that he’s not shown any signs of stress. Again, I cannot stress enough in making sure these horses are taken off grain and put on a diet that is safe and then supplementing with the vitamins and minerals that they lack, but Evitex really made all the difference. He’s shedding out really well, he’s eating and alert and happy. Emerald Valley offered me a sample bottle of Evitex to try for free. That was amazing in and of itself, it told me a lot about their company. I am so blessed that we have a healthy horse, when everyone else said he’d never recover!!
There’s always hope!
